Here dan there ialah keterangan kawasan yang umum digunakan. Kata keterangan tersebut menawarkan berita yang relative antara pendengar dan pembicaranya. Ketika kata keterangan here & there dipadukan dengan kata kerja yang memiliki makna perpindahan, here berarti “menuju atau bersama pembicara”, sedangkan there berarti “jauh atau tidak bersama pembicara”.

Adverbs of place yang berakhiran –where memperlihatkan berita wacana lokasi yang tidak spesifik dan tidak terperinci arahnya.
